Pledge Ceremony

Each semester, Upsilon Phi proudly welcomes a new class of recruits through our Pledge Ceremony—a meaningful tradition where individuals officially become pledges of Delta Sigma Pi and are introduced to their Big Brothers.

Our chapter is committed to fostering professionalism, ambition, and a sense of purpose in every new member. This is a symbolic moment for business students at Eckerd College, and is a launchpad for leadership, connection, and lifelong impact.

This tradition celebrates our fraternity’s values while igniting a lasting commitment to excellence and service.

Initiation Ceremony

At the end of Upsilon Phi's pledge program, pledges are officially welcomed as brothers of Delta Sigma Pi during our Initiation Ceremony.

Every moment of the ceremony reflects the powerful legacy of the Deltasigs who came before us. What makes it even more thrilling is the electric tension in the room as brothers witness new pledges take their first steps, and pledges look on as brothers exemplify the leadership they aspire to.

When the ceremony ends, the room is transformed. Handshakes turn into embraces, and the once-clear line between pledge and brother disappears. What remains is a shared purpose and a promise to carry the torch forward.

National Conferences

Our chapter believes that providing members with opportunities to attend national conferences strengthens both the fraternal bond and the overall member experience.

Delta Sigma Pi regularly hosts events such as LEAD (Leadership and Excellence Academies for Deltasigs) Schools, LEAD Provincial Conferences, and the Grand Chapter Congress. These gatherings are designed to enrich our members' professional development, expand their understanding of business and leadership, and help them build meaningful connections with fellow Deltasigs and business professionals.

Attending these events allows our members to gain fresh perspectives, explore innovative ideas, and stay ahead in a constantly evolving business world. The shared experiences and memories forged during these conferences foster a lasting sense of camaraderie that extends beyond our collegiate years. By engaging with the broader Delta Sigma Pi network, our chapter cultivates leaders who are prepared to make a positive impact in their careers and communities.
